As a volunteer search and rescue organisation supporting the emergency services, our 200 dedicated crew members respond to over 100 callouts every year. From launching lifeboats into the Severn Estuary to conducting land searches for vulnerable missing people, our teams are on call 24 hours a day, every day. Because we are completely reliant on the generosity of the public, your donation directly funds the equipment, training, and maintenance required to protect our communities and save lives.

Make a Monthly Donation

Giving regularly is a great way to help us provide our rescue services. What your monthly donation could provide each year: £10 - a new water rescue helmet ; £20 – a new fully-equipped buoyancy aid or a VHF radio £30 - a new drysuit for a rescuer

Gift Aiding your Donation

Gift Aid is a UK government scheme allowing charities to reclaim 25p in basic-rate tax for every £1 you donate, increasing your donation's value by 25% at no extra cost. To qualify, you must be a UK taxpayer who has paid enough income or capital gains tax in that tax year to cover the claimed amount.

Fundraising for SARA

Host or put on an event!

Are you in a band or a choir planning a concert, or putting on a talk, or a pub quiz, or any other type of event, why not use it to raise money for SARA??

We can help you by providing SARA posters and literature, and in many cases someone from SARA could be able to attend and give a short talk about us.

Participating in a SARA Event

From time-to-time SARA puts on an event as a fundraiser. Participating is a great way to contribute funds and to meet some of the SARA team as well as having fun. Maybe Type 2 fun, where you will realise later how much you enjoyed it. And you could get yourself sponsored to participate.

We organise running races, such as the Devauden 10k, the Cirencester Slog, the Wild Wye SwimRun, and the Great SARA Fitness Test Challenge (which you can walk with a rucksack), Golf Days, and we might put on the Wild Wye Swim again some day.

Not every event happens every year and we come up with new ones, so please keep an eye on our Facebook pages.
