Mobile Rescue Units 1, 10 & 20 dispatched together with Lifeboat Nos 3 & 14. Rush hour traffic conditions in the city delayed deployment of SARA Units. SARA Lifeboat No 1 launched at Beachley to make coastal passage to Goldcliff. Stood down when bystanders and FRS recovered casualty to ambulance.

Details: HM Coastguard tasking to report of a white "Jetstream" vessel drifting in the River Wye near Chepstow Castle. Three persons reported on board.
SARA Lifeboat No 1 Launched to recover the disabled vessel which was in danger of being impaled on scaffolding on the "Old Town Bridge" by outgoing tide.
Persons recovered to SARA-1 and the craft towed back to Beachley Slipway for recovery.
