Great SARA Duck Race

Fundraising officer Peter Wischhusen has begun to prepare for the Great SARA Duck Race – which is being held on Sunday 9th July in Chepstow. Peter and Haydn have had to number the 1000 ducks.
The jokes we flowing at the lifeboat station - orange sauce, is that job driving you quackers, are you putting a bill in for that... etc. etc.
The Great SARA Duck Race is part of the Chepstow Festivals Family Fun Day to be held on
Sunday 9th July 2006 on the River Wye at Chepstow from the A48 road bridge to the Old town bridge race starts at 3.30 p.m.

Free Entry - Water Theme “Above or Below the Surface”
Prizes in three age classes
2.30 p.m. - SARA Water Safety & Rescue Display
3.30 p.m. - The Great Sara Duck Race
Come and join us for a great family day out, see the spectacle of 1,000 ducks racing up river on the incoming tide. Bring the children in fancy dress, (see theme above) and have a flutter on one of the ducks, tickets on sale prior to the race start with multiple prizes of £100, £50 and £25.
