SARA and H&W Ambulance Service Water Safety Team

On Sunday 12th June seven members of the Water Safety Team from Hereford & Worcester Ambulance Service carried out a joint Swift Water Training exercise on the River Severn at Trimpley with SARA crew from Wyre Forest and Upton stations.

The exercise was judged a great success, the Water Safety Team who had benefited from having a refresher on their training at Bala and the SARA team who are undertaking swift water rescue training on a fortnightly basis.

A recent grant of £1,000 to SARA Wyre Forest specifically for training from HBOS, (subject to Executive Committee approval) will enable six more members to undertake their 3 day Swift Water Technician Certification shortly.
