SARA Wire Forest attends Xmas Charity Market in
Bewdley
SARA Wyre Forest, currently operating as a satellite station under Upton Station,
attended their first Floodlit Christmas Charity Market on Saturday 27th November
in Bewdley.
As this riverside town is part of SARA's operational area, the local crew turned out to promote the organisation.
Giant Dog came along and proved to be extremely popular with the children. Enquiries were made regarding a talk on the work of SARA by several members of the public which the organisation is happy to provide.
The event was well attended and SARA WF raised £40-80 (mainly in donations)
towards their £20,000 target to form a new fourth station in the Wyre
Forest area which will provide river, flood, land search and rescue services
from Worcester up the River Severn as far as Shrewsbury.
