New Training Room Desking
SARA would like to thank Bisley Office Furniture for their donation of office furniture!!
The official Press release follows:
Bisley Office Equipment, based at Newport, South Wales, has generously donated
new office furniture for the Control Room and Training Room at SARA near Chepstow,
the Severn Area Rescue Association's Lifeboat Station at Beachley, near Chepstow.
SARA's Station Chairman at Beachley, Mr Lloyd Bowden says, "The new furniture has provided much improved facilities for training purposes and allows us far greater use of the rooms thanks to the help of Mr Stewart Dillon, Bisley's Factory Manager at Newport, and Mrs Sara Price, one of Bisley's team of designers at the Newport factory.
Mr Bowden praised the design work, "Sara Price's new U-shape plan of the tables is far more flexible allowing us to undertake presentation-style training courses, 'hands-on' training for practical courses such as First Aid, and easily rearranged for Board-style meetings.
Mrs Sara Price explained, "The re-fit has also brought the Control Room into the 21st Century, as the old furniture had clearly been acquired over the years, and sadly did not match and proved cumbersome for training sessions. Equally, the cabinets were unsuitable for vital record keeping. Since the re-fit the Control Room looks much more professional to SARA members and visitors and now complies with The Data Protection Act."
Mr Bowden also paid tribute to Mr Dave James from the Bisley Installation Team, and Mr Ian Horrell, from the Facilities side by thanking them for their hard work on the recent re-fit, and the generosity of Bisley for supplying the new furniture. Mr Bowden added, "The Crew and just about everyone associated with SARA at Beachley was absolutely delighted with the new facilities."
Bisley's Factory Manager concluded, "We were proud to help the SARA organisation at Beachley. We know that SARA's volunteers work extremely hard to ensure a rescue service is available on a busy section of the River Severn. It is something we all take for granted and we hope our contribution helps to maintain the Station at Beachley."
