SARA Lifeboat No 1 Launched to recover the disabled vessel which was in danger of being impaled on scaffolding on the "Old Town Bridge" by outgoing tide.
Persons recovered to SARA-1 and the craft towed back to Beachley Slipway for recovery.

Ski located near Slimeroad safe and well, but admitted riding erratically with long periods of drifting

15/03901/09/2015 12:5401/09/2015 13:00BeachleyGwent Police request update on a call-out (11:50 BST) routed through HM Coastguard for assistance with unoccupied, "mud filled", dinghy drifting downstream of Newport city centre in River Usk.
With over and hour having transpired since original request for assistance it was decided to remain on alert without tasking lifeboats until a further sighting report. There was no subsequent report.

Vessel was observed to have steam/smoke issuing from engine compartment and was limping against tide with frequent stops and re-starts. Throwline was deployed to pull craft against slipway and crew assisted with trailer recovery

MRU-1 with Lifeboat SARA-14 launched at Uskmouth. MRU10 with Rescue-5 dispatched from Beachley to Newport City Centre.
SARA-14 located "a pair of marker buoys attached to a heavy weight near the George Street Bridge. No danger to shipping. Location reported to HMCG Milford Haven and Gwent police advised.
15/02319/06/2015 20.0019/06/2015 21.36BeachleyAlerted by HM Coastguard (Milford Haven) to Cargo Vessel "Mariaburg" (1,372 GRT) en route to Sharpness had suffered engine failure and deployed anchor near "Whirls End" Slime Road Sands.
With the impending ebb tide it was decided to bring the station and equipment to a high state of readiness with the vessel under constant observation.
Should the anchor fail to hold there was a possibility of the ship running aground on the "Hen and Chickens" reef.
Temporary repairs were sucessfully carried out and the vessel continued the journey to Sharpness Docks.

Chepstow Coastguard & SARA responder attended Beachley Point to observe the area. Although no one was seen on the inner rocks the observers were unable to confirm no persons on seaward side of the islet:
HMCG Milford Haven requested a lifeboat launch to check the outer regions of the isle plus "Charston Rock" and "Old Passage" areas.
SARA Lifeboat No-1 launched to carry out search of all areas of interest - nothing found.
(Later informed that two jetskiiers had landed on "Chapel Rock" earlier in the evening but has returned to the mainland before the alarm was raised.) Well intentioned false alarm.

SARA rescue vehicle sirens used to warn of danger. Persons encouraged to come to shore. The rocks were cut off from the shore by the incoming tide and submerged within 10 minutes of the group being evacuated to safety.

Vessel refused assistance from SARA Crews and Malpas FRS. Vessel anchored mid-river: SARA crew kept vessel under observation until relieved by Police.

Lifeboats SARA-1 and SARA-3 Launched.
SARA-1 attended the motor vessel "Yvonne-D" which was taking on water and in imminent danger of sinking near Chepstow. Put crew on board to bail out - put high volume pump on board - started vessel's engine and moored up at Tallards Marsh.
SARA-3 attended rowing boat with one person on board which had been swept by incoming tide upstream toward Wyntours Leap. person taken on board lifeboat and vessel towed the boat back to Chepstow.
