A total of 7 people were rescued along with 3 dogs. A nurse was also transported by boat with medical oxygen to a patient. Sara crew also assisted with transporting sandbags to a flooded resident. Some local residents were transported to and from their homes along with a liaison officer from Gloucestershire County Council.|

A total of 12 water rescue technicians used three boats and vehicles to access flood-isolated residents, some of which have been surrounded by flooding for over five weeks. Our partners at GFRS also carried out welfare checks and assisted locals in Sandhurst, Maisemore and Ashleworth in a coordinated operation.|

Sara Tewkesbury was also tasked by GFRS control along with GFRS Tewkesbury and Gloucester water rescue teams to the incident, along with air support from HM Coastguard. Six Sara crew attended with MRU11, SARA 11, MRU3 and SARA 17. A joint operation was carried out by Sara and GFRS with two persons rescued from floodwater near the Yew Tree Inn in Chaceley, Tewkesbury, and passed to SWAS for immediate hospitalisation. A third person was found ashore and treated by SWAS HART team after being reached by boat by Sara/GFRS.|
